Inishowen Peninsula
Making our way up part of the Inishowen Peninsula and calling at the Neolithic Monument Grianan of Aileach and the award winning St. Aengus Church at Burt inspired by Liam Mc Cormack.Derry City
Continuing our way to the Maiden city for a walk on the historic walls dating from the 1600s and view the modern world famous Derry City Murals. Listen to the stories that have made the City of Derry/Londonderry the vibrant place it has become.Our journey takes us along the North Coast to where the Earl, Bishop Hervey, had his residence and hear of his huge contribution to what is now the historic place the North Coast is.
We pass and see the industrial centre of Colraine and the seaside resorts of Portrush and Portstewart and learn how they cater to the different types of tourists.
Dunluce Castle
Along the limestone cliffs to eerie ruins and hear some of the exploits of the past owners of Dunluce Castle. The exploits of the Spanish Armada and the ill-fated emigrant ship that came aground on this rugged coastline are recalled.Next is the experience of oldest (legal) distillery in the world at Bushmills and then to see the famous Giant's Causeway. Afterwards, time permitting, we can visit the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge.
