Sligo/Leitrim

County Sligo is an astonishing place full of spectacular scenery and contrasting unspoilt landscapes. There are more than 5,000 monuments recorded to date from the Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age) to the modern time. Known as Yeats County, it has many sites associated with the 'Father of Irish Poetry'.

Leitrim is a county of breathtaking lakes, ancient forests and historical castles. The labyrinthine system of rivers and lakes allows the Shannon-Erne waterway to link Leitrim on the Shannon and Upper Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. A series of victorian stonework bridges, state of the art locks and pretty thriving marinas presents a unique nautical charm.
